GRADING TO A NEW KYU RANK

What are Kyu’s ? A Kyu is a color belt rank under a Black Belt. In Goshinkan-Ryu JUJITSU there are seven color ranks or Kyu in the adults program. The first Belt you attain or wear is a White Belt given to the student to simply keep the Gi together in a tidy fashion. Each Kyu or color is a step towards being a Sensei or Black Belt. 6th Kyu is Yellow Belt, 1st Kyu is Brown Belt which means you have only one more step to Black Belt. Keep in mind that there are 10 steps of Black Belt.
